This week I want to tell you about my latest discovery, one of the most fabulous resorts in the island of Bali: The Anantara Uluwatu.
A dream place you should stay on your next trip when you are looking for paradisiac vacation. Let me tell you everything you need to know:
HOW TO GET HERE:
The Anantara Uluwatu is located in the south-west of the island, at the shores of the coolest surfer area in Bali: Uluwatu. To arrive is very easy, only 40 minutes drive from the airport. The hotel will pick you up on their own chauffeured cars with high speed wifi aboard! Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride 😉
THE HOTEL: THE ANANTARA ULUWATU
Anantara is one of the most luxurious Asian hotel chains that I had always heard of but never had the pleasure to stay at ! Until now and wowwww now I understand why everyone talks about it!
The hotel is build on a cliff at Uluwatu, so it offers the best views to the ocean from their super modern luxury villas, penthouses and suites.
I stayed at the Ocean Front Pool Suite 643, a huuuuge room with the coolest interior decorations with a private pool and outdoor jacuzzi. You know, since it is in the tropical gardens they asked me to keep the terrace door shut cause there are some monkeys running around! I was just sitting there waiting to catch one but I didn’t see any , maybe next time! 🙂
WHAT TO DO:
Spa: Out of all the hotels in the world I have been to, I have never seen a more beautiful massage room, ever. When you are welcome in the spa, you are given a tea and then after completing a standard formulae for massage you are walked to the room. There is a jaccuzi and two massage beds. There is also a bathroom inside with a rain shower and the floor made up of little stones. The music, the oils, everything, a wonderful experience to have a Balinese massage there!
The Pool: The infinity pool at the Anantara is something that I had been dreaming of (and researching on Instagram pics ) before coming: The most beautiful pool ever! Swim and enjoy the views, on one side the ocean and the other side the Anantara with its hanging rooms architecture .
The Beach: Since the hotel is on a cliff, to go down to the beach you take an elevator. A cristal glass lets you see the panorama of the beach and the surfers ! Yes this is one of the most famous surfing areas in Bali! Would you like to learn? Then the Anantara Uluwatu is the place for you! 🙂
Activities: From Yoga classes at the resort’s gardens to a trekking excursion with Elephants there are so many things to do you will have a fantastic holiday, however just to be at the resort is a fantastic plan!
WHERE TO EAT:
360 restaurant: On the top floor at the Anantara resort you find the 360 restaurant with the best views to Bali Uluwatu. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have seen in my trip here. To start there is a cold pressed juice section in the buffet where you choose the best fruit combo you like. My favourite carrot-ginger-orange to start the day with an energy boost and perfect for the skin and to get a longer lasting tan (hello rovitips). There’s also a large already-cut into small pieces fruit selection with all tropical fruits you can imagine and more. Having breakfast here is a vacation on its own. Since the Anantara is an Asian chain it also gives its touch with traditional Asian food, such as sweets and local pastries that I had never had the change to try before, really nice! Of course the green tea here for breakfast is absolutely amazing as well 🙂
Splash Pool Cliff: This pool restaurant is perfect for having a break in between the tanning sessions. I recommend you eat the delicious Anantara Wagyu burger and the hot wings !! Remember swimming burns a lot of calories amigos.
SONO teppanyaki: One of the highlights of the resort! When arriving to the restaurant, located again at the top floor, there is a live music band singing amazing songs and they ask you what you would like: romantic or happy? Happy of course! And all of the guests sitting by the teppanyaki started to dance. Well let me tell you about the food! Super delicious sushi, lobster and wagyu beef all perfectly cooked in front of you at the Teppanyaki by a super skilled local chef! I filmed him doing some tricks on the teppanyaki and the video on instagram had a record of views, super cool show! The best Japanese food, music and a live cooking show, perfect plan for a night out, don’t you think?
The Anantara is one of my favourite discoveries, a wonderful dream hotel, super service and top quality in details, the room, the gardens, the spa, everything is fabulous ! I am looking forward to continue exploring the Anantara Hotels Chain! Tell me have you visited any Anantara before? I can’t wait to stay on the next one!
