GSTAAD

Hola amigosss!!!

This week I want to talk to you about my last trip to Gstaad, one of the most fabulous ski resorts in Switzerland, so fabulous no-one actually comes here to ski lol

I came to Gstaad to celebrate the love of one of my best friends who was getting married! Such a wonderful celebration, I have been to many weddings but this one in the snow was one of the most magical.

During the weekend we got to see many top places and restaurants that I want to recommend you for your next “ski” trip to Gstaad !

HOW TO GET HERE:

Fly to Geneva airport.

From there you can choose to take the train to Gstaad (about 3,30 hours) and you must change trains on the way or drive 2h. However I recommend you to go back with the train, some of my friends were stuck on the road for more than 5h on Sunday coming back, thank god I took the train or I would have never made my flight!!!

WHERE TO STAY:

There are many super amazing hotels in Gstaad. My favourite are.

Le Grande Bellevue: The wedding was actually based here, the best about this hotel is that is perfectly located at the city center and you can just walk around the Main Street.

The Alpina Gstaad: I have to say this hotel is TOP TOP. The hotel is one of the latest additions in Gstaad, made up of suites only the minimum stay is 3 nights. The best about this hotel is the outdoor terrace, amazing to have lunch here enjoying the sun.

RESTAURANTS:

Eggli Bergrestaurant: You will arrive here with the ski cable car at Eggi station. The restaurant is typical alpine chic and I recommend you to try the cheese fondue!!! One of the best I ever had 🙂

Alpina restaurant: Lunch in the sun, at what is the new it place in Gstaad. I had the burger, order the sweet potato fries they are the best!!! Also the salmon tartar is delicious!

Park Gstaad: A five star hotel with the best views on the ski slopes. They have outdoor seating which on a sunny day is the best plan ever! Try the veal milanese! Super yummy 🙂

The Yatch Club: The wedding party was held here, super cool place, who would imagine to have a yacth club in the middle of the mountains nowhere near a boat? Only in Gstaad!!

ROVITIPS:

I have never seen so many dog friendly places! So if you want to go on vacation with your little pup, Gstaad is the most dog friendly place I know! You can bring your dog with you inside the hoteI, the restaurants etc!
