London Fashion Week

Hola amigos!
This week we are off to the glamour of the London Fashion Week! Fun, parties, shows, all mixed in one of my favourite cities in the world!

HOW TO GET HERE:

London is probably the best connected city and has direct flights to anywhere the world. Out of the 5 airports I would recommend you go to Heathrow , London City or Gatwick. From Barcelona the easiest way to arrive is via Gatwick as there are plenty of Vueling flights every day, from there to the city you just take the Gatwick Express train (buy the tickets online to avoid queues) and in half an hour you arrive to the heart of London!

WHERE TO STAY:

There are a million fabulous hotels in the city! For the London fashion week I would recommend you to stay close to the Soho / Mayfair area that is where all the shows and parties, restaurants and live is happening!!
My hotel of choice for the Fashion Week that I recommend you is the Hotel Café Royal! This hotel is a London Classic. Located in Regent Street is perfect to walk around and do some shopping in the free time! They also have one of the best spa’s in London, funny cause when you think about it, the spa at the Café Royal is the most peaceful place of London and it’s just next to Piccadilly Circus which is the most busy area!

WHAT TO DO:

The Fashion Week is about the SHOWS , well and the parties- the people -the fun. This fashion week I had the chance to attend the super amazing show of SABINNA. The talented designer Sabinna Rachimova worked in Christian Dior before launching her own brand that I must say it’s fabulous! I fell in love with her clothes the moment I saw the collection, I was wearing some of her pieces around London and her red coat was such a statement! LOVE IT thank you for having me at the show!
Most of the FW events were happening at the Brewer Street Car Park building, where I attended the super cool party by Etihad Airways, a top luxury airline company from the UAE based in Abu Dhabi. If you haven’t been to AbuDhabi they say is the new Dubai! I visited last March and it was a fabulous experienceeeee ( I should write a post about it soon)!
One of the things I love most about London are the private membership clubs. They are like an extension of your home. Having private restaurants, lounges, sofas, books to read, where you can just go spend the day. The best about this clubs is that at night they have the most amazing parties, yes they are very complete as you can see ! On this FW I was lucky to attend the Valentino afterparty at Loulou’s!

WHERE TO EAT:

Sartoria: My number one discovery on the FW has been this Italian gem in the heart of Mayfair. Write it down on your notes: SARTORIA. One of the most elegant restaurants where you are trated like royalty and the food is beyond amazing. A truly dining experience in London. I probably had the best Spagetthi carbonara ever (and I have been to Italy a million times) and I also tried the Umbricielli Cacio e Pepe e tartufo, a delicious truffle pasta. As a main dish we had the Orecchia di Elephante which is the real veal Milanese and the name comes after the shape of the veal which looks just as big as an Elephant Ear! Just thinking about it I would book a Vueling back to London to eat here again! Special thanks to Leonardo the manager for all his fabulous recommendations and the fantastic service! If you haven’t been here already it is about time to call and book! Hope to be back soon! <3 Zuma: I always said I am a zuma fan. They have the best quality sushi as if you would be having dinner in Tokyo ( See my article RoviTravel Tokyo) . Out of all the Zumas in the world, Dubai, Miami, Istanbul, my favourite one of all of them is Zuma London. Why? Could it be the food is different, the people, the restaurant? I guess a bit of all ! So if you are in search for the best sushi in London this is your place with no doubt!
NAC: In between the shows and the shopping in Mayfair there is a little cozy restaurant called NAC. The best about this place is that they have a terrace where you can sit and people watch, these are the best street style fashion week shows haha. Order the truffle burger amazing!!!
Peyote: In the heart of Mayfair you will also find the super cool Mexican restaurant Peyote, just because I LOVE MEXICO AND THE MEXICANS!<3 Time to drink their house Margaritas and add the extra tequila shots that come with. Order the yellowtail tacos, guacamole and queso fundido !! Viva Mexicooo cabr(xxx) 😉 Street Food in Shoreditch: If you are feeling alternative and want a day off to the more hipster surroundings (as cool as the shows ) I suggest you go to Shoreditch neighborhood and walk around the flower market and all the food trucks! Unbelieavble all the food styles you will find! A great way to spend a Sunday wandering around. Get on a Santander Cycle bikes and explore the area !

ROVITIPS:

London is a crazy place to get around town, so I am super thankful for Uber ! The private drivers app. Download it and use the code ROVITRAVEL to get £15 off on your ride!
