Saint Tropez

In the heart of the Côte d’Azur we find a little town called Saint Tropez. Known as the Jet Set’s ultimate destination since the times of Brigitte Bardot, every summer we reunite from all over the world to party here. Welcome to St Tropez!

The easiest access to St Tropez is without doubt by road. From Barcelona, Geneva, Milano the average drive is about 5 hours. I believe it’s the best option as you then have the car to move around to the beaches, town etc.

If you must take a flight, you will need to fly to Nice airport and from there get a private transfer that will take about 2:30h drive to St Tropez (When you count the time to the airport, flight and drive into town you see how driving is better option). The fastest and coolest option is to hop on a helicopter transfer and land next to your villa in half an hour. That’s what I call arriving in style!

where to stay:

My favorite way to stay and live the real St Tropez experience is in a Villa. Gather your friends together and enjoy the pool, sun and relax from all the hectic party going on in town.

Boat is also a very good option (I think boats are the best way to move around in summer) and you will be luckiest if you find a spot to stay in the marina where all the restaurants and life is happening. ( We don’t use the word ‘yatch’ is for the new rich).

Byblos: The most known hotel in town, very good in terms of location and luxury. A big plus is that is has the best club inside, Les Caves du Roy and the coolest pool bar to have drinks before going out.

White: Originally known as Maison Blanche, one of my favorite hotels. With a minimal white design the hotel is classy and beautiful on the best location in Saint Tropez – Place des Lices.

Saint Tropez is the playground of the rich and famous. The best things to do here are going to the beach clubs, tanning on the boat, and going to parties in friends Villas.

Nikki Beach: Ideal for a day party and popping champagne when there is a famous DJ. Cool place to start the day, tan and eat something by the pool. Order the ‘Petit Bateau’ of sushi and you will get a nice mix to share with your friends!

Caves du Roy: My favorite nightclub in the world! The nights I spent here are without doubt between the most fun of my life. The most expected moment is when DJ Jackee announces the key players of the night:’ We got London in the house tonight, we got Venezuela in the house tonight.. Brasil, Switzerland, NYC… So ladies and gentleman welcome back to Saint Tropez!!!’ BOOOM we go crazy and he plays ‘In another place from another point of view’. This show is then followed up with champagne wars of who orders the biggest bottles and makes more gifts to the other tables. Usually Pakistan wins!

Domaine d’Ott: The rosé wine of excellence in St Tropez. So light and fresh will have you sipping all day as you get a tan! Used as a reconnecting drink to get in the party mood again! How many times we have drank this wine outside St Tropez just to bring back the memories!

where to eat/ drink:

Le Club 55:  One of the most famous and one of my favorite beach clubs for lunch. Very classy and simple decorated with wooden chairs and a thatch roof. The famous foods here include the vegetable crudités platter with delicious mustard sauce and the biggest and most tasty artichokes you have ever tried.

Les Palmiers: If there is a place in St Tropez for day fun this is without doubt les Palmiers. As you enjoy your lunch and the music and Domaine D’ott magnums take over you will be dancing as if you were in the craziest party! All the food here is amazing; I recommend you try the spaghetti with truffle!

Villa Romana: A classic for dinner, the decoration makes you feel as if you are in the gardens of a real tropezienne villa. Party restaurant at its finest, you find a trunk with costumes to dress up and play around, great for pics! A must here are the huge 5 litre cocktails with long straws perfect to share in the middle of the table!

L’Opéra: This restaurant was the most happening last summer. With live shows as you have dinner and the great DJ it is without doubt the perfect place to have a night out. Time to literally drink champagne and dance on the table!

Panini: After a long night dancing in Les Caves you will be very happy to find the best Panini truck in the middle of Place des Lices. The most famous is the one with French fries inside, it sounds weird but it tastes super good, try it and let me know!

Le Sénéquier: Who doesnt recognise the red café in the port of Saint Tropez? A classic, I advise you to have a coffee here when having a chill afternoon and just sit and people watch. One of the most entertaining places on earth for that!

what to wear:

St Tropez is the number one glamour destination in summer, so when planning what to wear, think of the most elegant dresses and best brands of bags, shoes, jewelry, bikinis… Everything you wear here must be top! Remember, as Oscar Wilde said, you can never be overdressed or overeducated!

Due to the super high demand and the fact that all the billionaires have boosted prices in town, sometimes is complicated to get a spot on the place you want. The best way to get good tables, entrance to the club, parking spaces etc is by giving very good tips to the employees of the place. They are totally used to it, so better be generous if you want that dancefloor table or any other good reservation in a restaurant!

Thank you for reading and hope to see you in St Tropez this summer! Do you – do you Sant Tropez? 😉
